La société de technologie de localisation minière GeoMoby a obtenu 3 millions A$ ($2,03 millions) pour financer le déploiement ultérieur de sa technologie dans l'industrie minière mondiale.

Les fonds proviennent en grande partie de plusieurs investisseurs européens, a déclaré GeoMoby. L'augmentation de capital a également été soutenue par les actionnaires existants.
GeoMoby – the name of the company and product – uses wireless, cable-free and reusable beacons to geofence sites, track assets and check on workforces, providing a layer of safety and efficiency never seen before, the company says. The technology allows surface-to-underground communication through smart devices, meaning, for the first time, photographs and video can be sent to the surface from remote tunnels in deep underground sites.
GeoMoby vise des contrats à long terme avec des sociétés minières souterraines basées en Australie occidentale, mais sa technologie peut également être appliquée aux opérations minières à ciel ouvert et aux chantiers de construction en Australie et dans le monde, indique-t-il.
